Company history

Company history

After 14 successful years, The Carphone Warehouse launched Talk Talk in 2003 to corner the domestic landline market. It is estimated that Talk Talk now has over 3 million customers in the UK and rivals BT as the UK’s fastest growing Broadband ISP.

Talk Talk Broadband made its name by offering a ‘free broadband’ service based on an 18-month contract and initiation fee. Though this bold claim eventually fell through, Talk Talk still provides some of the best deals available with additional rewards for Talk Talk mobile and landline customers.

In 2008, they launched a new broadband revolution with their new TalkTalk Essentials range allowing users to 'boost' their broadband package as they wished. myTalkTalk offers true broadband flexibility to consumers.

  • My husband signed a broadband/telephone contract with TalkTalk after being with Orange for some years. We had no problem with the Orange broadband, but I cannot say the same for TalkTalk.

It frequently will not load up and often we get a page of oriental characters. Never had this with Orange, but am told by TalkTalk technical support team that it means that something is wrong with the computer! Funny how this problem coincided with the use of their broadband.

star Sandra Douglas, 3rd March 2010
  • Do not trust TalkTalk! I've been cut off and when you call them all you get is an idiot who passes you to some other idiot. Be warned!

star JOHN MCQUILLAN, 23rd February 2010
  • I'm writing as an ex-Tiscali customer, taken over by TalkTalk, and now an ex-TalkTalk customer. They're the worst company I've ever dealt with by a country mile.

I've written four times to their Director of Customer Services/Charles Dunstone and haven't even had the courtesy of a reply. Needless to say, I've changed providers (o2) and it's like being on a different planet.

star rebecca jones, 19th February 2010
  • I completely agree. I am so fed up with TalkTalk. They have given me an abysmal service and no-one has resolved my issue. I am still trying to sort things out and all I get is transferred to a call centre in India somewhere where they don't understand the problems.

I am trying to switch to another provider and even this is being made difficult. These glowing reveiews that they go on about, they are certainly not from me!!! I give them -10.

    star Fiona, 15th February 2010
  • Can you please put minus on the star rating as that is all that TalkTalk deserve. The TalkTalk service is abysmal, just as their surposed customer service is.

They promise everything but give nothing. You will TalkTalk to them and be told that it is your problem not theirs. Cloudcuckooland is what TalkTalk live in. Keep away unless you wish your blood pressure to go orbital!

    star R.R.JONES, 28th January 2010
  • Talk Talk Broadband connected for just 2 days and slow speeds and up and down. Slow speed is very slow when it works, when broadband speed test benchmark for the area states it should be at least 5Mb.

As the service still connects via a BT exchange I suspect contention is somewhat restricted by BT! Has anyone had any meaningful response from Talk Talk???

    star mickahtec, 15th December 2009
  • Having been a customer of Tiscali's for a number of years with few problems I was dubious when Talk Talk aquired the company.

I have now been informed by Talk Talk, unless I upgrade to a broadband & call package I will have to pay an EXTRA £5 a month to keep the same service I already have!!

I won't be blackmailed into paying for a service I don't want, so it'll be bye bye Talk Talk and hello O2.

    star Gordon, 6th December 2009
  • I joined TalkTalk phone and broadband service 4 months ago because they had the cheapest deals. However now I can see why they're so cheap.... the broadband is absolute rubbish!!! Have you ever tried surfing the internet when your broadband connection is continually turning itself off and on again? after around 3 minutes you feel like throwing your laptop out the window. Everyone I speak to who is with Talk Talk has the same problem with their broadband.

1 minute on 1 minute off add infinitum (normal), 30 seconds on 2 minutes off (during busy times), If you are lucky enough NOT to have TalkTalk broadband and you are not a MASSOCHIST do yourself a favour go with another service provider. Don't be lured by their glossy adds, connection speed claims and cheap prices.

Make no mistake about it TalkTalk broadband may well be the cheapest but by golly they must surely be the worst!!!!

star Roy Everitt, 7th November 2009
  • I have been a onetel (now talk talk)customer for almost 4 years and have enjoyed cheap phone calls ,line rental and broadband but onetels broadband service over the last few months has been terrible, slow speeds, cuts off all the time sometimes for hours, i have kids doing exams and relay on the internet for help and information on subjects and are shouting now at me about 10 times an hour that the broadband is not working and is useless to them which i agree, i have phoned onetel many times to complain but just what many other people say they blame everything only there own service, extension sockets, cables ,internet explorer settings, router settings, micro filters, too many phones on my line, firewall, they have even blamed my computer and said the problem could be in it even tho i told them we have four computers and they all have the same problem with the internet on them all, i even bought another router as they had me believe the problem lay there which it didnt. I left BT to move to onetel (talk talk) and now i am thinking of moving back as i had very few problems with BT apart from there prices but i have now looked and they are as cheap as talk talk onetel (well when my broadband doesent work most of the time onetel would work out much more expensive as i am paying for a service which i am not getting most of the time)so its time to pack up and move from there rubbish broadband. and would not advise anyone to join

    star G Farrell, 29th September 2009
  • TT was good two years ago. Now I still keep them because they have free international calls. Broadband is rubbish.

    star Pit, 11th July 2009
  • What has gone wrong with TalkTalk Broadband? It used to be o.k. but now it is horrendous! Forever dropping out and slowing down so much it would be almost as quick to go back to dial-up.

    star C A Friend, 17th June 2009
  • I was a very happy Onetel customer until along came a talk talk rep telling me that the companies were merging as TalkTalk/onetel and it would benefit me both financially and technically to change as quickly as possible to Talk Talk. Little did i know, I was letting myself in for the most horrendous 8 weeks of my life. On the very day i switched, my connection dropped and continued to do so at least 5 times every day. Their customer service department blamed everyone but my auntie jeannie for the problems, My Router(which i was told was compatible with the system) was reset and reebooted so often it finally gave in and stopped working. My two sons ,avid gamers, were so upset with taltalks performance they had me calling every day to complain. Dont believe the boast of free broadband, its free because it does not bloody exist. I was eventually charged a fee for disconnection, which i refused to pay as i did not get the service they promised, they threatened to put it in the hands of a debt collection agency, What a wonderful company talktalk really is. I joined Zen Internet just over a year ago and have had an unbroken broadband signal ever since, PLEASE take my advice and give this bunch of conmen a wide berth, Zen internet may be a wee bit more expensive but the peace of mind of having a superb service is well worth it.

star Michael Morajda, 16th June 2009
  • I was with TalkTalk for a year in a previous address and the first 6 months were terrible. The internet kept dropping out and the connection was very slow. After many calls and complaints they fixed it for the rest of the time I lived there I asked for a homeownwers' move to be set up 2 weeks before moving.

It took them 4 weeks after I moved to get an engineer out to connect the line and it's now going to take another month before the broadband is set up. Can I assume the connection will be slow again? Ofcom should put a stop to the poor service TalkTalk provides and monitor internet companies more closely.

Maybe these cheap companies should even be shut down. I can't believe in this day and age of technology that it takes 2 months to set up broadband and that you can not get more then 2mb at times.

    star Tom, 29th May 2009
  • I'm one of these people given to TalkTalk (used to be Bulldog), and I have seen an awful service in the short time I have been with them. I used to be unlimited and paid for this with, but now with Talk Talk I'm being throttled during the day.

I work in IT and download from Technet etc, so not a P2P user. This is impacting how I use the internet.

    star Paul, 28th May 2009

  • I've recently set up my mum's house with TalkTalk broadband - she's going back to school to become a nurse and is totally new to the world of broadband at home! Thanks for all the help TalkTalk - great service!

starstarstarstar Mike Barnes, 6th April 2009
  • Broadband used to be quicker, over 2 meg. Suddenly when I renewed my contract it dropped to 288 kbps. They said it was my modem, a likely story.

    star D Macrae, 3rd April 2009
  • I swapped to TalkTalk because of the free evening calls deal and I think I'm getting a bargain! I don't know too much about the technical side of things, but I've not had any complaints from my three teenage sons about the broadband so far - and they know how to complain so it must be fine!

    starstarstar Jaqui P, 26th March 2009
  • I've been with TalkTalk for a long time and though we had a few creases to iron out when we moved house 2 years ago, it has been smooth sailing before that and ever since - a reliable and cheap internet provider, and really, what more could you ask for?

starstarstarstar Marion Emery, 17th March 2009
  • This is a joke, I signed up for this 2 years ago - Free Broadband Forever when it first came out from TalkTalk. After I signed up they told me because my area was ADSL through the existing phone line and my exchange was not 8meg speed I would have to pay an additional £9.99 a month for broadband. This was for 2.2meg speed and until last August was fine, didn't mind, it was cheaper than all others but again all the last 2 years, whenever I ask when I am going to get 8meg, TalkTalk tell me that I have to wait until I can get 8meg download speed at my exchange.

Last December I got a letter from TalkTalk saying my speed was going up and it was going to cost me another £2.99 on my existing £9.99, AND for 2 weeks maintenance would take place to make connection more stable and stop it disconnecting 2 to 6 times a day as it has done since last August. Here we now, end of January and the up side is up to 6 meg download speed at best when not disconnecting and speed fluctuations from 0.5meg to 6 meg.

Think very carefully before signing with TalkTlak because at the time I signed it was said to me 8 meg free broadband forever, they just keep moving the goal posts, and don't bother with customer services; it's just an overseas call centre where you're read to from a script with as much help as a chocolate fire guard.

star JONATHON TOMKINSON, 5th February 2009
  • After several weeks of very slow broadband and failure to find out why due to so called second line technical line not answering the phones (tried 3 times waiting in excess of 30 minutes each time) I am moving away from TalkTalk. I have a sneaky suspicion my slow broadband is something to do with the new top ups on offer - i.e. slow down old customers who have enjoyed a relatively good broadband in the past like myself to get us to top up to faster which was probably what we had before. Maybe I'm too cynical but it sure does look like too much of a coincidence to me.

    star K Watton, 1st February 2009
  • A total shambles. I have been left without a phone for days, they have NOT provided me with 1571 or caller dispIay even after many many phone calls (from my mobile I might add) to tell them. I work from home and have lost business because of this Mickey Mouse phone company...Complaint going to Ofcom as they should not be able to operate like this.

    star S Taylor, 27th January 2009
  • I had a few teething problems at the beginning while waiting for my activation date, that was over 3 years ago now, but ever since that I have had no problems and the ones I have come across have been dealt with quickly and easily. I wanted to up grade my talktalk box to a wireless one and would told this would be £60 but if you joined as a new customer you got it for £30! after a bit of bartering and cheekiness I got the new wireless box for £30 too! I have never had any problems with the speed of my broadband/downloading etc nor with my landline..... I would highly recommend TalkTalk to anyone.

starstarstarstarstar Alison Johnson, 24th January 2009
  • I signed up to TalkTalk landline and in the space of a few months I have been without a landline twice! The first occassion was for 3 days- The second is tonight and I am very cross. Never had this problem with BT. I intend to change asap. Problem is I cannot let them know either as my mobile needs charging and when I went to complete the complaints form online I had to put in my account details and I dont know what they are!

    star jacqui, 21st January 2009
  • Worst broadband service ever. Internet often cuts out and need to spend hours on the phone trying to fix it. Then when its running again the service is very slow for things like signing in/out of email, opening pics online etc. Their email service is also rubbish, every day it says "service unavailable due to temporary maintenance" need to keep clicking for it to come. They traffic's shaped so badly, p2p speeds are pathetic. Phone line is always crackling, even their staff often say "can u repeat that because the line is bad". Do not join talktalk.

star mamode Rawat, 8th January 2009
  • After being lied to by the sales assistant in CPWH I signed up with their service under the pretence of being able to download and swap files whenever I wanted... The actual delivery of the modem equipment failed to materialise AFTER the 'go live date' as they couldn't confirm my address(?) so had to be collected by myself from Edmonton North London. Upon hooking said equipment up to my shinny new computer I discovered that TalkTalk does NOT support file share programs. The customer service team had next to no idea what I was talking about and don't even get me started on their activated-on-demand 2nd service. If they're the only ones able to deal with technical problems then why not let them take the call in the first place?!? I am now connected via O2 home broadband which does EXACTLY what it says on the tin.

    star Jason, 6th January 2009
  • Really poor service from telephone helpline. Waited 45 minutes for a second line operator to confirm answer to a basic technical question. Can they have the cheek to charge for such poor service?

star George Leonard, 28th December 2008
  • I am bitterly dissapointed with the service provided. The telephone line, which I am dependant upon, is regularly down, for both incoming and outgoing calls, for up to 5 hours at a time. I will not hesitate in transferring to another provider as soon as the contract period has expired

    star peter, 22nd December 2008
  • TALKTALK are horrendous! Since sign-up erratic broadband access, on off, on off etc etc. Long help-line call times, expensive to ring, and then given the runaround from useless call staff who cant seem to sort out the problem. I'm going to cancel and go for a full refund! STAY AWAY FROM TALKTALK.

star jonathan szymanski, 18th December 2008
  • Just spoke to one of the Talk Talk sales reps, who in his eagerness to sign me up, refused to listen to what I was asking and hung up when I said I had to check with TalkTalk phone department as there was an irregularity he could not get into his head. As a result I may consider changing my phone call supplier and landline rental, as well as finding an alternative broadband supplier.

star andrew tilan, 6th December 2008
  • Absolutely appalling. I wouldn't recommend Talk Talk to my worst enemy. Don't change to Talk Talk these people should not be in business - star rating minus one million

    star angela, 6th December 2008
  • Been with them for over a year now. The 'free' modem was total rubbish, so got a decent router, [at a cost]. All OK for a few months though BB a bit slow.
Before Christmas last year, an external wiring problem took us completely out of service [voice and web access] for over 2 months, was finaly fixed by BT engineer after I had diagnosed the fault [correctly] after 3 days outage. In that time we suffered all the problems stated elsewhere, No contact, ignoring emails [from other sites of course] letters just seemed to get lost, but nobody knows where! Spoke to loads of helpful people when you could understand what they were saying, who made promises, none of which were actioned.
We then had a further outage of a few weeks due to what no one knows. It's all OK now and we are getting speeds of about 6.3Mbits. Despite the problems we get no additional cost International calls, having loads of family and friends abroad, plus all voice calls in UK [not 0800 numbers though] and line support [a bad joke] for under £20 a month. When it works it's pretty good, when it breaks it's awful. I have suggested a package at an extra couple of £'s a month that uses UK people and fast tracks problems, but to no avail. I stay with TalkTalk , trying to be supportive of an inovative company. offering good value. When it all goes wrong its hard to reconcile that ! Three stars rating would be greater if the level of service provided was even reasonable when there are problems. It can only get better.

starstarstar Ken Fitzgerald, 20th November 2008
  • have no problems with the phone service but the broadband is as slow as dial up. Very frustrating!!!!

star karen barnett, 19th November 2008
  • TalkTalk are terrible.

The only reason I signed up in July was because I thought i'd save money, and it was convienient to do. They told me they would take care of the transfer between my old phone and broadband provider. They did with the phone, but did not with the broadband. Shortly after connection date, I went away, I have just come back, to find that TalkTalk, did not cancel my broadband, as promised. So payment to my old provider continued which amounted to £60. For the last two days I've been phoning TalkTalk to resolve the matter and I have had nothing but hell. All my calls get divereted to South Africa, with no help, And call staff refuse to let me speak to a Manager. Customer Service is very, very, poor. I wish I had stayed with my old service.

Worst thing I've ever done switching. If you want false promises that cost you money, a mega slow and unreliable broadband connection, uncooperative and rude call centre staff, then join TalkTalk.

    star Cheryl, 25th September 2008
  • TalkTalk broadband is the only choice to make during this credit crunch. It's dirt cheap at the start of the contract and it works! £3.25 is nothing for broadband and the calls work out super-cheap as well. If you are looking to save on your household bills - or more to the point, your broadband bills - then TalkTalk is the only choice to make.

starstarstarstarstar Marie Ryder, 19th September 2008
  • They're rubbish, their broadband is rubbish, it cuts out on its own, it's not 8Mb.... It works at around 2 or 3Mb on a good day (though this is dependant on where you live). A TalkTalk advisor himself even once said "your getting the broadband free, I mean what else do you expect? You were paying for your last one with bulldog" Now thats pathetic!!!

Believe me... 7 out of 10 customers WILL BE DISATISFIED. Thank you have a nice day :)

    star BIll, 11th August 2008
  • I am very happy with TalkTalk broadband. I have had it for a year and it's great. Calls are so cheap!

starstarstarstarstar Marie Ryder, 6th August 2008
  • I switched to TalkTalk to avail of their free broadband offer and it was terrible so I cancelled.

My previous ISP were giving me about 6.5Mb download but with TalkTalk I could barely get 0.5Mb.

    star Keith, 7th July 2008
  • Just to say that we have recently gone live with TalkTalk broadband, having been with PlusNet for three years. Yes we did have a problem with the phone (couldn't get international line).

We contacted their customer support and they couldn't have been more courteous & helpful. We lost our line completely for twelve hours, yes inconvenient but they diverted all calls to our mobile and all our problems were solved within 24 hours.

We had no problems getting through to speak to someone and that 0870 number that everyone complains about, which is free from a TalkTalk line. We even had a coutesy call to check that we were happy and had no further problems.

We are more than happy with the level of service provided. I guess the majority of people who take the time to review do so because they are unhappy - it is hard to get a balanced opinion.

We were originally with Onetel for our phone (10 years with them) and of course they were taken over by TalkTalk several years ago. We have never had any complaints about the service and just can't understand why people have such bad experiences - clearly they do and it must be dreadful.

For us - we would happily recommend TalkTalk, most of our friends are with them, and they are more than satisfied too.

starstarstarstarstar Lois Hutton, 20th April 2008
  • I switched from BT to TalkTalk - big mistake - when my contract is up I will be leaving them.

They might as well not have a customer service, they don't know what customer service means. If there was a 0 star rating I would have given it.

    star j evans, 13th April 2008
  • TalkTalk broadband is terrible don't join if your looking for fast reliable broadband. The modem I got would not work at all so I had to use my old Sagem Fast 800. I wish I had never left Tiscali and I'm probably going to go straight back to them when I'm out of contract with TalkTalk.

star Martin Mc Colgan, 11th April 2008
  • I have had all the problems listed above... I have received no customer serivice at all! They either tell lies or refuse to answer the questions they were asked!!

star Eric Orchin, 7th April 2008
  • Absolutely diabolical customer service from a cynical firm that does not care about its customers. If you value your sanity sign up with Zen Internet instead.

The speed you get is not the same as the one they advertise. I was with Onetel at 2Mb and switched to Talk Talk for 8Mg broadband but my speed is only 276Kbps.

starstarstarstarstar Sarah Jones, 18th January 2008
  • Very poor. Support dreadful. E-mails answer questions you haven't asked and if you telephone you get through to someone who doesn't speak English as the rest of us know it. Slowness doesn't relate to bandwidth. The system varies between 0.6M and 6.5M but this doesn't reflect the difficulties. It can take over 1 minute to send or receive a 50 word e-mail. So, problems suggest poor or too few servers. Phone services like 'Caller ID' seem to work according to the phases of the moon. Technology should NOT be this unreliable or frustrating. They are always telling me that they are making improvements for the future. But the future never comes and I'm paying for it now.

  • The phone and the internet work fine and it is a good deal. Unfortunatly their accounts Dept are a nightmare. They can't set up a direct debit. I have to keep paying by phone or go into arrears. The customer help line for bill enquires is hopeless. I shall be glad when the contract ends.

  • Poor free modem. Gave up in setting it up and bought a new standard wireless modem.

Claims up to 8Mb download. Even though I am close to my BT Exchange the maximum I get is 1.3Mb download and 350Kb upload. Sometimes as bad as 300Kb download and 300Kb Upload.

Cheap and cheerful yes. Speedy? No!

  • We signed up with TalkTalk in July - from the outset I had problems setting up my modem with the software disc provided and had problems getting technical support. After finally getting sorted out I was disappointed with the broadband - it was slow and difficult to connect to the internet.

I have just changed the modem on my system from the TalkTalk wired to a belkin wireless system and it has made a big improvement it is much faster and more responsive. As for the phone it all seems fine, so all in all I'm fairly satisfied with the package so far as it's the best deal on the market at the moment. However, TalkTalk need to sort out their inherent problems to keep ahead in the market.

  • It's cheap and it works. My broadband is fine, the calls cost next to nothing and the TalkTalk customer service representatives are friendly and co-operative. Why anyone has reason to complain is beyond me. Yes, the broadband might go down, but get over it! It will happen with any broadband provider you could sign up with.

  • Was with TalkTalk for seven years and was quite happy until I decided to get broadband. After nine months of trying and waiting for a response, and applying three times with a MAC code to somebody in India who could not understand me, I gave up and went with someone else.

  • I subscribed to TalkTalk about 7 months ago and have not been disappointed, and I can't understand why they have had such bad press, the service for me has been first rate, and no problems with the connection at all. And show me where you can get broadband, phone and line rental for cheaper!

  • Started with TalkTalk early August within 12 days had a letter from them telling me that they had a request to transfer me to another service provider, they were treating this as my notice to quit. I rang immediately telling them I had not requested any transfer. I was told it was a TalkTalk mistake and not to worry they could see the problem and I would not be cut off. Ten days later, despite a second reassurance, we were cut off. Three weeks without a phone line, plus a further three weeks trying to get my original telephone nymber back, but that's yet another long story with BT. TalkTalk deals look great, I am sure they are if they ever get it right.

  • After some initial teething problems with TalkTalk, my service has been first class and without a hitch for 12 months now. Read the other reviews with caution, as Talktalk have well and truly sorted out their early problems. I will not hesitate to sign up again for another contract period. It's cheap, it works and I'm 100% happy.

  • I recently joined TalkTalk, and thier service is absolutly rubbish. I had to wait over 2 months to recieve the modem, when my activation stated that it was after 2 weeks of joining, I called the customer services, and they kept on saying that I will recieve it tomorrow or the next day, until i found out they were liars. When I recieved my modem, they couldn't even recognise my phone number, I had to wait for weeks until they did, until then the speed was pathetic, 8MB was offered, but my one was under 1MB! I could not cancel my 30 day trial, due to late service, and now I am in a contract with them for 18 months! My advice to you people to join TalkTalk, is to not to join these stealers and liars, and your money will be at stake if you dare to join, they make you join, because they say free, but my advice is to join a broadband provider that will provide you with top quality speeds and services - for example BT, Virgin or Sky, and not to join these cheap companies that offer free broadband. They might be cheap but not worth it, with a service like that, you will be stuck. Don't join TalkTalk.

  • I was on TalkTalk free broadband - a JOKE. I paid £10 rental for well over a year and got fed up so asked for a migration code and soon after they cut me off broadband. I tried for over 10 weeks to be reinstated and finally I switched my phone and broadband to BT, but because it was 6 weeks from the end of my contract, they charged £60 disconnection fee. I was a Carphone Warehouse customer for over 15 years. I wrote 2 letters to Mr Dunstone but he never even had the courtesy to reply. The service is the worst I have ever come across. My advice: don't sign up with them.

  • I was initially with TalkTalk for my telephone service and had no problems, they contacted me for broadband, I signed up and received a modem. My broadband never worked. After countless calls to technical support, they finally said they did not recognise my username and password. I asked them to fix it - they could not. They then cut off my phone and charged me line rental for four months until they put me on to a debt collector for £220. I never used my phone or my internet as I never had a service. TalkTalk are thieves and I am still battling. Do not sign up to anything with these rip off merchants.

  • I am currently changing from Onetel where I have been a customer for many years to TalkTalk as I am fed up with Onetel continually breaking down. I am unable to get emails from them at the moment and they tell me it may take to the end of September to sort out. I do feel that as Onetel and TalkTalk are the same company, I should not have to sign up for a 18 month contract and I also ought to have a discount for changing over. I welcome any comments.

  • I have found Talk Talk absolutely rubbish. I was with them for the telephone - no problems. They then contacted me about Broadband and I asked them to send info through the post for me to have a look at - THE SIGNED ME UP WITHOUT CONSENT and the first I knew was when the modem was delivered. After many annoyingly long calls to Customer Service I was getting know where fast. I wrote a letter and thought it had all been sorted only to find now that I need a MAC code to sign up to a Broadband Provider as they have stolen my line!

  • I have recently joined talktalk broadband after being approached in carphone warehouse when I upgreaded my mobile. I was hesitant as I had heard poor reports in the past about talktalk.I was then using AOL. After initial problems in the change over and installation I am up & running. I wish I had been offered the £10 'geek squad' (see reports) I do find that very often I cannot get onto the internet, sometimes for a whole day - frustrating! It would be helpful if talktalk had an error message saying the problem was theirs instead of getting one that implies it is your fault.

  • Switching to Talk Talk broadband was so easy, especially as they offer a 30-day trial. As it happens I stayed with them as they provide such a good service. Their support team are second-to-none and have been really informative, helping me with any technical queries or just to tell me how to obtain my Nectar reward points. Speaking of which, I have accumulated quite a few points now with my Broadband call plan, so I’m going to get some money off my next online purchase.

  • I was a complete technophobe, so Talk Talk’s no-nonsense approach really appealed to me. Obviously I chose to have a member of the Geek Squad (hilarious) help me install my broadband–they made it seem so easy, and all for just £10. Now I’m up-and-running with broadband I’m always online, from checking my bank statements to ordering my groceries.

I feel completely safe in the knowledge that I have their security software installed, which is especially useful for all my online shopping. I’ve continued to use the software even after the free trial as it gives me such peace of mind.

  • I’ve been really pleased with Talk Talk, they make broadband really simple. It was very easy to choose from their Broadband call plans as they don’t over-complicate things with loads of gimmicks. What you see is what you get–free modem, really fast download speeds and a massive monthly allowance. On top of this I also received a £20 credit on my first bill just for signing up online.
