With free.co.uk or .org domain name, 100Mb of webspace, up to 20 free UK Online email addresses with 200Mb of storage each and much more this broadband option gives and gives. As UK Online has a low contention ratio of 20:1, compared to BT’s 50:1, this means that you will be able to use your unlimited download allowance with a greater degree of freedom. The contention ratio is the ratio of users to the area’s exchange and the coping capacity the exchange has for those connections. The 22Mb connection works through using brand new ADSL2+ technology so the UK Online endorsed Netgear router is essential. If you want to find out more about exactly how this works follow the links to our guide to ADSL Broadband on the homepage. With the UK Online Premier package you can get:

After having hell on earth with Freedom2Surf after they were taken over by pipex, I stumbelled upon UKOnline. Things did not start well. The local exchange was down for 5 days before service was restored (which they did not compensate me for). A few months went by with only a few minor problems, then the onslaught began. My connection dropped out at least 6 times a day, ping times exceeding 4 billion milliseconds (4,000,000,000ms), dismal transfer speeds and lousy technical support. Their contract stipulates that if they cannot fix problems within their network, they will terminate the contract free of charge. I payed £175 to be released early as they did not provide an acceptable service.
Shame there isn't a zero star rating, they would receive exactly that. I'm now happly with BE, using the same line and equipment as I did with UKOffline (no, that isn't a typo) with zero problems.

After the 14 months of hell with BT, UK Online is like a breath of fresh air, only needed to call them once, call was answered after 2 rings by a UK call centre, and was rectified in 10 minutes. Brilliant Service! I can not fault it and I have tried lots of ISP's and these are the best I have found so far.

I was initially a bit deterred when I found out you don’t get a free modem included, however I soon realised this is probably why the monthly fee is so cheap. I managed to purchase a router through UK Online’s recommendation, which was fairly inexpensive and even included wireless.
In the end I think I’ve got a good deal especially as I now have to freedom to surf the net anywhere in the house. The Customer service representatives were so helpful too, and I feel I went with the right team.

When I thought about switching my broadband provider, I noticed UK Online’s advertisement and thought I’d give them a try. For £9.99 a month I get far more with them than I did with my previous provider, including 24 hour technical support and up to ten free email addresses.
I’m happy I spotted UK online as I’ve got a great deal, and the technical support I’ve been given is very much appreciated.

I love the unlimited downloads with my UK Online broadband package. The connection is really good and reliable too – no problems there. Admittedly I’m new to broadband so I’ve nothing to compare UK Online to, however their customer service is fantastic and they didn’t mess about when it came to getting me set-up.
So now I’m up-and-running I’ve even managed to create my own web page thanks to the free allowance of webspace included in the package.
