Demon news

Customer reviews

  • Demon do NOT offer unlimited broadband. I was transferred to Office 8000 after 10 years without being asked, and because I exceeded their "unlimited" level of 60Gb they have reduced me to 128Kb speed for a month as punishment. Must be one of the few companies to punish its customers!!! Oh, and customer service is in India so expect the usual levels of incompetence when you ring.

  • After having been with another broadband provider before - who I found terrible - I thought I needed to change.

Living quite far away from an exchange I was finding it hard to get a connection above 2mb, until i found Demon with whom I am now accessing speeds of 4Mb.

After signing up they said I would be online within about 10 days. I dug out my old modem and installed it. And less than 24 later it was working. I rung up Demon, got a username and login and I was off. During the 10 days of line testing etc, I did not lose connection once and haven't since.

So it looks like I made a good choice - lets hope I have many trouble-free internet hours.

  • Great ISP. Took a while to get the broadband up and running but this is more todo with BT than anything. Now thats its on its running really really well.

  • As it never goes wrong, I began to wonder if it was there at all.

    It is.

  • My wife and I were satisfied dial-up users with Demon since 1996 before we upgraded to Demon Home, about a month ago.

Initially we were put on the wrong server and after six days and numerous calls to the support centre we were finally connected. Six days of our mail went missing but Demon claim this is not so (we have verified the loss with senders of missing messages).

Since then the connection has been good, not dropping once, and speeds variable (as expected).

Whilst the service is good I dread having to contact customer support again in the event of a problem.

  • I think Demon provide an excellent service. Not only is their customer support faultless, they also offer really good value particularly on the broadband package that I opted for.

Having it has made all the difference - I was using a dial up connection before which seems positively archaic compared to the speed of broadband. My family can also use the telephone while I''m online which means I don''t keep losing my connection. I''m converted!

  • I''ve been really happy with how easy it was to set-up my broadband with Demon. They provided full technical support and I''ve experience no problems since.

My friends do seem to get nice little extras with their broadband packages, such as loyalty points, however I guess I''m paying less than they are every month - and in the end this is more important. Hopefully Demon will maintain their competitive prices.

  • Demon broadband have offered a first-rate service so far, so much so that I have even introduced their business broadband package at work. It''s a good professional choice, which works for me both at home and in the office - no fussy gimmicks or offers to keep you as a customer - just good honest service and efficient performance.

Their staff are obviously well-trained and courteous too, which is becoming a rarity these days.
