Mobile broadband speeds and reliability 'a concern'

The speeds offered by mobile broadband services are a concern to many web users, it has been reported.

According to a new study conducted by ISPreview, half of all computer users are interested in mobile services, but a quarter have worries about connection rates.

The site's January poll also discovered that 23 per cent of consumers are dissatisfied with usage allowances, and 22 per cent have service reliability worries.

In addition, 17.9 per cent of study respondents said they wished to see cheap mobile broadband packages become available on the market.

With ISPreview finding that more than half of all interviewees had mobile broadband, the study may encourage internet service providers to address these concerns.

Last month, analyst house CCS Insight predicted an explosion in the European mobile broadband market over the next two years.
