BT unveils fibre-optic broadband microsite

Businesses and homeowners interested in learning more about fibre-optic broadband can now visit a new microsite launched by BT.
The company's Openreach division has created the site for everyone from regional development authorities and other major organisations to corporate and residential broadband users.
It includes information on Super-fast Fibre Access (SFFA) and Broadband Enabling Technology.
The latter allows web services to be delivered across double the distance that current technology can muster.
BT Openreach claimed: "Visitors to the site will find a wealth of information on how SFFA works and will be able to access a video and brochures explaining what it means for them.
"They will also be able to see where it's being rolled out around the UK."
Details about the new website have come after BT announced plans to launch a new trial of its Fibre-to-the-Cabinet technology in the Halfway area of Glasgow.
Similar projects are already in place in London and Cardiff.
