Orange is offering £20 of vouchers to students when they sign up for selected mobile broadband laptop and standalone dongle deals, as part of a limited period incentive. Find the deal here: Orange voucher deal.

The vouchers are on offer when undergraduates subscribe to any of Orange’s dongle-only deals before October 31st. Laptops on offer with the promotion are the Toshiba L300 and the Compaq Mini 110.

Both laptops are available on 24 and 18 month contracts with a range of monthly usage limits. Monthly charges for the Toshiba L300 and the Compaq Mini 110 start at £24.47 per month over a 24 month contract. This entitles users to 1GB of usage per month and a download speed of 3.6Mb.

Meanwhile, the student broadband dongle offers start at £9.79 per month with the choice of a 1GB, 3GB or 10GB usage allowance. As with the laptop offers, subscribers can expect a broadband speed of up to 3.6Mb.

Jessica McArdle, marketing manager at Top 10 Broadband, said: “A laptop and a broadband connection are as essential to students these days as digs and an occasional food parcel from mum.

“Orange’s mobile broadband laptop deals are a brilliant way for undergraduates to spread their payments for a laptop while ensuring they have instant access to all the research and information that the web offers to help them with their essays.

"Better still, they'll also get a £20 voucher to spend on CDs, a DVD or a game. College isn't all about work, after all."

News of the promotion comes as Orange is currently also running a separate deal for existing mobile phone customers, offering mobile broadband for just £4.89 per month over an 18-month contract.

According to the broadband provider, this is the cheapest deal on the market. Customers are entitled to a usage allowance of 500Mb per month, making it apt chiefly for those with low usage needs who just want to email and surf the web. Subscribers also benefit from a free dongle.

Undergraduates interested in taking advantage of the offer can find out more at our dedicated student broadband page.
