Customers thinking of switch

Over one in four Brits intend to change broadband provider once their current contract ends.
That is according to the results of a survey from ISPReview, which canvassed a total of 525 broadband customers.
It was found that 26 per cent of broadband contract holders are thinking of making the switch following the expiry of their current deal.
According to the report’s authors, ISPReview: "The implication of all this appears to be that a considerable proportion of broadband consumers, mostly those whom have been locked into a longer term contract, are unhappy enough with their service to be contemplating a switch.
"That does not bode well in a saturated market where ISPs need to be clamping down on churn as the opportunities to replace lost custom become an ever decreasing commodity."
In a suggestion of the unpopularity of long-term deals, under four per cent of participants in the questionnaire said that they are tied to 24-month contracts.
