Vodafone offers in-built 3G laptop

Vodafone has become the first mobile broadband provider to offer in-built mobile broadband technology with its laptops.
Customers who opt for the new packages will receive a Dell Inspiron Mini, which comes with pre-installed 3G connectivity, negating the need for a dongle or USB stick.
Contract holders will sign on the dotted line for 24 months, with the 1Gb download allowance option costing £25 per month and 3Gb for £30.
Although the offer represents the first time a laptop with pre-installed mobile broadband has been included in a bundle, there are already a number of machines on the market which do not require a dongle to get online on the move.
Earlier in the year, Ericsson signed a deal with laptop manufacturer Levono to provide built-in HSPA mobile broadband technology for its devices.
Ericsson has predicted that 50 per cent of notebook laptops sold by 2011, will include a built-in HSPA mobile broadband module.
