Vodafone markets laptop bundle
6th October 2008
Vodafone has become one of several mobile broadband providers to throw in a free laptop with its deals, offering prospective customers a complimentary Dell Netbook.
Those who plump for the deal will be tied to a 24-month contract and receive 1Gb worth of download allowance, costing £25 per month.
The bundle which includes the machine - said to have a retail value of £299 - went on sale on Wednesday, October 1st.
Customers who wish to receive a larger allowance can opt for the choice of 3Gb, at £30 per month, the provider has confirmed.
Vodafone was one of a number of mobile broadband providers that supported the GSM Association’s (GSMA) campaign to release a sticker on laptops informing the user if the device comes with pre-installed 3G capacity.
Michael O’Hara, chief marketing officer of the GSMA, said of the agreement: "17 of the world’s largest technology companies have committed to change the way people get online forever."
