Virgin Media ‘not entering mobile broadband’ price wars

Virgin Media will resist the temptation to offer rock-bottom prices on mobile broadband, one publication has predicted.
Respected telecoms news provider Mobile Today thinks that Virgin Media will be relying on the loyalty of its considerable fixed-line customer base, to attract subscribers to its recently-launched mobile broadband service.
The magazine says that despite being ten months behind many of its main rivals in offering a mobile broadband service, Virgin Media will not be pushed into slashing prices just yet.
According to the publication: "Virgin will not be using price to compete for mobile broadband customers, rather the company hopes its reputation for providing good fixed line broadband services will help create interest in the service."
Virgin Media has priced the service at £15 per month, including 2,000 emails, 100 hours of web surfing, 200 music tracks and 100 two-minute videos.
