LG and Ericsson in mobile broadband deal

Laptop manufacturer LG has chosen Ericsson to provide mobile broadband technology for its devices.
The machines will come preinstalled with the HSPA technology, connecting to 207 HSPA networks worldwide.
All netbooks and notebooks will come with the mobile broadband equipment as soon as it is available, LG has confirmed.
Speaking at the Broadband World Forum, Ericsson chief executive Carl-Henric Svanberg, predicted that mobile broadband-installed laptops would be the main growth driver for mobile data traffic by 2013, reports Total Telecom.
He said: "We need to understand that the consumer wants the internet way of doing things, with them, wherever they go."
According to market predictions, 200 millions notebooks per year will be sold by 2011.
