There are many plus points to buying broadband as part of a triple-play bundle, a representative of one independent financial advisor has said.

Speaking to the Observer, Moneysupermarket’s mobiles and broadband expert, James Parker, has highlighted huge savings of up to £280 which customers signed up to TV, phone and broadband services separately can make by bundling their contracts.

Mr Parker also stressed that the added ease of looking after one as supposed to three accounts can also make the switch to a bundle worthwhile.

He told the newspaper: "As a general rule, you will save money if you pick a bundle deal.

"It’s also much easier to manage - you have one monthly direct debit going out of your account instead of three, and one bill and one phone number to call for customer service."

Last year, Virgin Media launched a ‘quad-play’ deal, offering TV, broadband, as well as home and mobile phone services in one package.
