‘Choose bundles carefully’

Prospective broadband customers could save money by opting for bundles, but should choose carefully.
That is the view of Broadband Expert, which has handed some advice to those looking around for the best deal.
According to the firm, a recent survey proved that bundles containing broadband tend to work out cheaper than broadband-only deals.
This is because providers are able to gain extra revenue from selling services such as telephone and TV to customers which can in turn provide savings for the customer.
But Broadband Expert warned: "Consumers are still advised to shop around and check the cost of bundle deals with a range of providers before making any commitment, otherwise they can find themselves tied in to a contract for twelve months or longer, making it difficult to switch if something better comes along."
Orange recently bundled together its home broadband and mobile phone services in a package for £35 per month contract holders.
