Orange offers laptop deal
18th August 2008
Orange is to offer a free laptop with a new mobile broadband bundle.
A number of mobile broadband providers have recently launched packages which include free laptops with contracts of between 12 and 24 months.
Now Orange is giving away an Asus EEE laptop to customers who sign up to the 24-month Internet Everywhere mobile broadband deal.
Francois Mahieu, Orange UK’s director of devices, said: "It is Orange’s aim to be at the forefront of serving today’s 21st century customers, so we’re pleased to bring to market our first connected laptop offer with Asus."
Orange chief executive Tom Alexander first indicated Orange would be offering free laptops with mobile broadband in June.
3 is among the providers already offering laptops with mobile broadband contracts, while mobile phone outlets Carphone Warehouse and Currys already package their own laptop-inclusive mobile broadband deals.
