Virgin Media’s mobile broadband plans

Virgin Media used its financial report for the second quarter of the year to reveal plans for a mobile broadband offering.
The package is likely to be released through Virgin Mobile by the end of the year, the broadband provider says.
Virgin Mobile has recently renegotiated an agreement relating to voice and data services with its network supplier, T-Mobile.
The firm said in a statement: "We will also be able to price more competitively in the growing mobile data usage market which will be more attractive for higher value customers."
No specific price plans or potential speeds have yet been made public by the broadband provider.
The report also confirmed the loss of 19,500 Virgin Media customers in the second quarter of 2008, which means the provider’s customer base now stands at 4.74 million.
