PlusNet offer new deal

A package aimed at those feeling the effects of the credit crunch has been put together by one broadband provider.
PlusNet is tempting cash-strapped customers with an offer of landline and broadband for £16.99 per month.
The 12-month contract for the PlusNet Essential Package comes with 1Gb of broadband usage and free calls all weekend on 01, 02 and 03 landline numbers.
"We want the UK’s 16 million broadband customers to be aware of what we offer; an award-winning, honest and great-value service," said PlusNet’s chief executive Neil Laycock.
He went on to point out: "We are unique in the current internet marketplace as the only mainstream provider which has grown without a hefty marketing budget - over 50 per cent of PlusNet’s customers have been acquired through personal recommendation."
PlusNet was recently voted Best Consumer ISP at the industry nominated ISPA awards.
