O2 offers new combined package
1st August 2008
O2 is offering the combination of fixed-line and mobile broadband in a new package.
The firm claims to be the first "established broadband player" to offer such a deal, which will also include a free wireless router.
Customers that opt for O2’s £20 per month mobile broadband deal will be handed a free year-long subscription to the provider’s Home Broadband standard package service.
As well as round-the-clock UK-based customer service, contract holders will see no download limits on their home connection, which will carry a speed of up to 8Mb.
Sally Cowdry, O2 marketing director, commented: "Customers told us that they wanted the flexibility to set up broadband in their own time.
"O2 Home Broadband Takeaway enables this, so they can take a tangible product home and benefit from an unparalleled buying experience for broadband in store."
The mobile broadband deal - as part of the Broadband Home and Away offer - comes with a 3Gb monthly data allowance.
