Dongle prices cut by 3
2nd May 2008
Internet service provider (ISP) 3 has announced a reduction in the price of its pay-as-you-go dongles.
As of May 1st, the universal serial bus modems have been available at a lower cost, the ISP reveals.
By using one of the dongles on the most popular package, which comes with 3 GB of data transfer allowance, 3 suggests that up to 2,000 plain text emails may be sent.
However, larger and smaller transfer limits are also available - including a 0 GB version for those who want to pay per megabyte of data.
In order to purchase a dongle at the reduced price, 3 advises customers to apply online, over the phone or in store.
The ISP adds that "it’s fast, it’s easy and you don’t need to be anywhere near a wireless hub or hotspot".
Fashion-conscious users can also obtain the equipment in black or pink, rather than the standard white, in order to blend in with their computer’s colour scheme.
