BT to offer free Terminal 5 Wi-Fi

Customers flying from the new Terminal 5 building at Heathrow will be able to access free Wi-Fi broadband services.
UK telecoms provider BT has announced that it will supply British Airways (BA) - which owns the new building - with the wireless broadband services as part of a new three-year agreement.
The deal will also be extended to BA passengers flying from 25 airports across the UK and Jersey, with high-speed broadband services available in lounges from April 1st.
BA is the first UK airliner to offer its customers free wireless services, with Emily Clark, BA lounges development manager, saying that the deal provides "an integral part of the travel experience".
"The BA service means that passengers can use their time productively before boarding their flights," said Chris Bruce, general manager of BT Openzone, adding that it will prove an invaluable tool to both business and leisure travellers.
The Terminal 5 building is designed to minimise the hassle of flying, with BA stating that it should take only ten minutes to travel from check-in to the departure lounges where the Wi-Fi services will be available.
