Be extends UK reach

Be extends UK reach

5th March 2008

UK broadband provider Be has announced that it has increased its high-speed network coverage by 15 per cent.

The provider’s 24 Mbit package is now available to 67 per cent of the population, with a further two million lines expected to be capable of receiving the service by the end of June.

Be’s Unlimited package is available from £18 per month, with an uncapped usage allowance and a 24-hour support helpline.

"This is the next stage in our development at Be as we believe that reliable high-speed broadband takes continual innovation and investment," said Oli White, head of marketing at the provider.

He added that while Be is already one of the most technically advanced UK providers, the company is also involved in further product development that will bring even faster services in the future.

The firm states that by increasing coverage to 400 new telephone exchanges, the service will become the most widely-available ADSL2+ product in the country.
