O2 embarks on broadband tour
28th February 2008
Internet provider O2 is showcasing its home broadband services as part of a nationwide tour.
The double-decker bus’ journey began in Warrington and involved a number of performers inviting passers-by to learn more about the internet package that the company has rolled out across the country.
O2’s bus has now embarked on a nationwide tour of more than 100 towns and cities across the UK in a bid to promote its internet packages in an engaging and enjoyable way.
"There is a lot of frustration surrounding broadband and we were keen to promote O2 Broadband in a fun, exciting way, ensuring that people are well aware of our great service," said the firm’s retail manager Charlotte Mitchell.
Ending on Friday, the whistle-stop tour will see the bus travelling to up to seven locations every day, with a trip to the O2 Arena planned to tie in with the NME Awards.
O2 mobile customers can enjoy the company’s standard home broadband service for £7.50 a month, with the 8Mbit per second service available to all other customers for £12.50 a month.
