3 to launch pay as you go mobile broadband
21st December 2007
Telecomms giant 3’s mobile broadband service is to become more accessible with the launch of a pay as you go version.
The service will enable customers to top up their mobile broadband credit in the manner of mobile phone top-ups, Tech.co.uk reports.
Credit is available either online, from 3 stockists and over the telephone and comes in denominations of £10, £15 and £25, which entitles users to 1GB, 3GB and 7GB respectively.
Those wishing to use the service must however first pay for a USB modem for £99, which have recently been revamped by 3 and are available in natty limited edition designs.
A range of stickers is also available to allow owners to add a bit of character to their USB modems.
The service utilises 3’s own Turbo Network, which currently covers most major cities in the UK.
