BT launches SME broadband advice project

BT has launched a new scheme to help the UK’s 4.5 million small to medium-sized businesses get the best out of their broadband packages.
The telecommunications giant’s Small Business Week will enable companies to garner advice from BT staff at to how best to expand their broadband package and how it might be better tailored to suit the individual needs of their business.
Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business, said: "Small and medium businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy. At BT Business, we have direct relationships with more than 1.4 million SMEs [small to medium-sized enterprises]."
Small Business Week is running all week and will include podcasts, seminars and a ‘green’ day.
As well as representatives from SMEs, media and local and national government representatives are expected to be in attendance.
The firm’s partners in the project are the British Chambers of Commerce, the Royal Bank of Scotland and EveryWoman.
