Be Unlimited launches new budget broadband service

5th September 2007

Be Unlimited has launched a new broadband deal giving subscribers up to 8MB broadband service for a monthly rate of £14.99, it has been reported.

The Be Value deal allows unlimited usage and includes a free wireless modem and round-the-clock customer support.

There is, however, a connection fee of £24 for the service.

Dana Pressman, managing director of Be Unlimited, told broadbandinternet.com: "This is great news for consumers as an uncapped, up to 8 meg service for only £14 per month is what customers want.

"Services like the BBC iPlayer are what we planned for right from the start. With built in redundancy in the core network we can give our members the sort of service others will struggle to provide."

Be was the first UK-based broadband provider to boast download speeds of up to 24MB and upload speeds of 1.3MB, according to broadbandinternet.com.

The firm is a subsidiary of telecoms giant O2.
