The average price for broadband in the UK has dropped since the start of the year (January 2007), with the big players in the broadband world making the big moves. The most notable drops in prices have come from BT, Tiscali and Virgin Media who have all reduced the cost of their basic packages, lowering them to £8.95, £7.99 and £10 respectively.

Customers are not getting the broadband speeds they signed up for

Only a miserly 20 per cent of customer’s broadband connections in the UK actually deliver the speeds they claim to according to a survey by moneysupermarket. The survey questioned 43,000 and found that 44 per cent of broadband users were getting half the speed that they signed up for, with those in remote areas suffering the worst.
