Inertia is still getting the better of UK broadband customers. At least that’s if a new survey is anything to go by.

In a poll conducted by Moneysupermarket.com it was revealed that 69 per cent of those questioned fail to look around for the best-priced broadband, TV and home phone products.

Perhaps most surprising, given that there’s a recession on, is that 11 per cent of this group is too lazy to put the time in to scan the market despite the savings on offer.

Furthermore, said savings really aren’t to be sniffed at. The site claims that these amount to almost £200 annually.

In fact, we reckon that the £200 figure might even be a bit conservative. Especially in the light of the recent bonanza of cheap broadband offers that hit the market from the likes of BT, TalkTalk, Virgin Media, Tiscali and O2, all of which entitle users to introductory periods with three months free broadband.
