TalkTalk broadband transforming dowdy image of routers

In the world of wireless broadband routers function is king, with the aesthetic concerns of form coming a very distant second. But broadband supplier TalkTalk at least seem intent on changing that.

Last year, the broadband provider launched a competition with Goldsmiths college to come up with a range of concept routers. They’re stunning bits of kit, one and all – showcasing everything from a clock made up of gently glowing lights right through to a Hybrid router that looks like it came straight off the set of Metropolis.

But as far as we're concerned the pick of the bunch is the Jellyfish router above. As you can see from the picture it’s no-one’s idea of a space saver and is the very antithesis of discreet. But for sheer vaunting ambition alone, we love it.
